About Chester IVC
Chester IVC is a friendly social club for anyone aged 21–50 who wants to meet new people and enjoy a wide mix of activities.
We’re not a dating group — just a relaxed, welcoming community of people who like getting out, socialising and discovering new experiences.
Because our members organise all our events, the calendar is always varied: countryside walks, city breaks, comedy nights, theatre visits, kayaking, cinema trips, house parties, BBQs, pub crawls, concerts and themed events.
Every week we host Club Night, our mid‑week pub meet‑up in a different Chester venue. It’s a great way to get to know us.
Membership is £10 for your first year and £15 per year after that. We’re a not‑for‑profit club run by an elected Committee.
We’re part of the national Association of IVCs (AIVC), with origins dating back to Cambridge in 1946/47.
If you’re looking to widen your social circle and try new things, Chester IVC is a great place to start.
Why Join Chester IVC ?
Non-Profit, Member run
All membership fees go towards the running of the club such as insurance, web hosting and event subsidies

The club is very welcoming of new members. We know what it's like to come along and meet new people and being a small club its easy to get to know people
Established Club
Chester IVC has been running since 1991 and is one of the original Chester social groups so we know a thing or two about running a social club
Wide range of events
Events with Chester IVC are hosted by the members of the club and can be anything from a night on the town to a trip away.
Low annual membership
As the club is not for profit we can offer a low annual membership fee which covers the cost of running the club. For new members this is just £10 in the first year.
